Kevin, a lifelong boater
worked for Marine
Exchange from 1977 to
2001 when he founded
North East Rigging
Systems LLC.
Kevin’s experience has
been with numerous
boat projects working
with both cruising and
racing boats of various
sizes as well as new
build projects.
Throughout his career
Kevin has authored
articles for SAIL
magazine and sits on
the advisory board of the
New England Boat
Show.
Kevin’s sailing
experience consists of
numerous offshore
passages competing in
various racing venues
and regattas at many
levels. Kevin is a
graduate of Mass
Maritime Academy.

Hugh’s specialty is
electronics and electrical
systems and is
comfortable installing
anything from LED
lighting to electric
winches and windlasses.
Hugh grew up in all types
of boats and feels he has
successfully turned his
advocation into his
vocation. To go along
with Hugh’s experience,
he holds a 50 Ton
Masters license.
Hugh attended the
Landing School Marine
Systems program and
has been a lifelong
cruiser and currently
owns a 38 Novi boat.
John, brings to North
East Rigging Systems
over 40 years of
experience in racing,
restoring boats and
cruising a variety of
large and small sail
and power boats.
John has hands-on
experience and formal
training in the
installation, fault
diagnosis and repair
of electrical,
mechanical, plumbing
and electronic
navigational yacht
systems.
John is a co founder
of North East Rigging
Systems, and brings
over 40 years of
business operations
and P&L experience to
the firm.
He is a graduate of
Middlebury College
and saw destroyer
duty as an officer in
the US Navy in the
South Pacific.
John has worked at North
East Rigging Systems for
five years and is skilled at
wire swaging, rod
heading, traditional wire
splicing, and modern rope
splicing.
John has worked as crew
on research ships, ferries,
and tall ships. Before
working as a full time
rigger John held a 100
ton captain's license.
His rigging experience
includes working at
Manchester Marine,
Mystic Seaport Museum,
and the USS Constitution.
John’s education includes
marine science, nautical
history, and literature of
the sea
